ASU volleyball dropped their 18th straight match and fell to 10-20 overall and 0-18 in conference play after falling just short to Colorado in five sets.

This is the second meeting on the season for these two teams though we saw a much closer result in this one since the Devils were swept in the previous meeting.

The Sun Devils came out in full force in set one. As a team, the Sun Devils hit incredibly well as they finished the first set with a hitting percentage of .370. Eventually, the Sun Devils were able to close out the Buffaloes 28-26 in a very close first set.

In set two, the Buffaloes were able to break out of the cage that held them back in set one to take the set in convincing fashion by a score of 25-16. The Buffaloes were able to tally six blocks in route to the set victory.

After getting off to a slow start and going down 2-6 in the third set the Devils popped off six straight points to take a lead 8-6. The third set consisted of 15 ties and 10 lead changes as this one was back and forth until the Devils were finally able to put this one away by a score of 26-24.

The Buffaloes led for a majority of the fourth set before the Devils went on a 6-1 run to take a 16-13 lead but the Buffaloes would come stampeding back and ultimately win the set 25-23 and force a winner takes all fifth set.

Colorado took a 4-1 lead early and led the rest of the set except for a very brief period where the Devils tied it up at five. The Buffaloes would ultimately finish off the Sun Devils 15-11.

Despite the loss, Oluoma Okaro had an incredible night as she finished with 25 kills, 15 digs, and 3 blocks. We also saw good nights from Grahovac and Hughes who both finished with 12 kills.
