The ASU volleyball team lost for the 13th game in a row Friday to the USC Trojans in Los Angeles. The Sun Devils are now 10-15 overall and 0-13 in conference play.

ASU volleyball was once again on the losing side of the scoreboard in Friday night’s match against USC. The Sun Devils are still winless in Pac-12 play, and they are running out of time to get a win.

USC came into the match ranked 17th in the nation in the AVCA Coaches Poll and had a record of 8-4 in Pac-12 play.

USC got ahead to begin the first set of the match, as the Trojans led the Sun Devils by a score of 15-9. USC went on to win set one by a score of 25-20.

The Trojans got off to a quick start in set two, beginning on a 5-1 run, but ASU bounced back and eventually won the set, 25-21.

Similar to the first two sets, USC once again got off to a quick start in the third set, starting the game on a 10-5 run. Unlike set two, the Trojans were able to finish what they started, winning the set 25-19.

ASU took an early lead in set four leading the game 8-7 in the beginning. However, the ASU’s lead was short-lived, and the Trojans took the fourth set, 25-18.

After the loss, ASU is now 0-13 in Pac-12 play and 10-15 overall, while USC is 9-4 in conference and 17-7 overall.

The Sun Devils will have another chance to get their first conference win tonight against the UCLA Bruins.

UCLA enters the match ranked 18th in the nation, and the Bruins are 7-6 in Pac-12 play. The Bruins defeated Arizona in four sets Friday, giving the team a bounce back loss after its two-game skid.
