After dropping matches versus top-10 teams in UCLA and USC, ASU soccer is back on the road looking to end their three-match losing streak against Oregon.

After facing four teams in the top-11 and finishing with a record of 0-3-1, ASU soccer embarks on a season-long three-match road trip beginning Friday at Oregon.

The Sun Devils are coming off a frustrating 2-1 loss versus the sixth-ranked USC Trojans in a match that ASU dominated the first half.

The Sun Devils led USC 1-0 at halftime on winger Jemma Purfield’s fourth goal of the season coming in the 10th minute with ASU outshooting USC 9-2 in the opening 45 minutes.

More from Devils in Detail

Arizona State began the second half with a player advantage after USC defender Dominique Randle booked for a red card in the 45th minute.

The Sun Devils were in control, but the momentum changed when defender Angela Boyle was sent off with a red card of her own in the 61st minute.

With both teams playing with 10 players, USC scored two goals in 12 minutes to secure the comeback victory.

After completing the hardest stretch of the season, the Sun Devils will play three straight road matches with Oregon first up.

The Ducks sit at 6-7-0 and 0-5-0 in Pac-12 play losing to Washington State and Washington last weekend.

Oregon lost Thursday’s match against the Cougars 2-1 with Mia Costa scoring the lone goal for the Ducks as they couldn’t overcome Washington State’s two first-half goals.

The Ducks then went on to get shut out against Washington Sunday 1-0 as Huskies’ Kimberly Keever scored the only goal in the 48th minute.

Oregon struggled to create chances as Washington out-shot Oregon 13-5 for the match.

Arizona State should be able to hold down Oregon’s attack as the Ducks have only scored three goals in five conference matches.

Oregon has scored 15 goals in 13 matches this season which is good for a tie for ninth place in the Pac-12 with Arizona State.
