Despite ASU football being on a bye week, a lot happened in the Pac-12 as Washington State defeated Oregon and Stanford defeated Utah.

ASU football got to enjoy the bye week as they prepare to face No. 5 Washington Saturday night.

With that being said, it was a pretty busy week in the Pac-12 as Washington State avoided a let down at Oregon winning 33-10 and Stanford pulling off the upset in Salt Lake City versus then-ranked No. 23 Utah.

There’s not much movement atop the Power Rankings, but the middle to bottom of the poll has changed. Here’s out Week Seven Pac-12 Power Rankings consisting of our football coverage team of Alec HendenEthan SchmidtHunter RobinsonJordan KayeKillian McClatcheySam Ficarro and Zach Pekale.

Power Rankings: Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5 | Week 6

1. Washington Huskies (LW: 1)

For the second straight week, Washington is atop our Power Rankings after an emphatic 38-7 win over California.

The Huskies defense was stout once again limiting Cal to just 93 yards offensively including -40 yards rushing.

Washington’s defense also tallied eight sacks, nine tackles for loss and one fumble.

The offense was also pretty good Saturday night as quarterback Jake Browning threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns with running back Myles Gaskin rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns.

Next up for No. 5 Washington is Arizona State Saturday night in Tempe at 7:45 p.m. PST on ESPN.

2. Washington State Cougars (LW: 2)

The Cougs avoided a let down after the emotional win over USC two weeks ago.

Washington State went to Eugene and defeated an injury-riddled Ducks team 33-10 behind 282 passing yards and three touchdowns from quarterback Luke Falk.

Falk is quietly making his way into the Heisman conversation.

The Cougars defense had another solid performance holding Oregon to just 277 totals yard of offense and forcing three turnovers.

Next up for Washington State is a road test at California Friday night at 7:30 p.m. PST on ESPN.

3. USC Trojans (LW: 3)

USC got back on track after the upset loss in Pullman versus Oregon State with a 38-10 win in what happened to be Gary Anderson‘s final game as Beavers head coach.

Quarterback Sam Darnold had a bounce-back game throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns with running back Ronald Jones II rushing for 79 yards and one touchdown.

USC’s defense performed better than they did in Pullman forcing three turnovers and finishing with two sacks and five tackles for loss.

Next up for USC is Utah Saturday at 5 p.m. PST on ABC as both will play for first place in the Pac-12 South.

4. Stanford Cardinal (LW: 5)

Stanford continued their winning streak in Salt Lake City with a 23-20 win over the Utah Utes.

Cardinal running back Bryce Love finished with another big game with 20 carries, 152 yards and a 68-yard touchdown run to put the game out of reach.

More from Devils in Detail

Despite Utah leading Stanford in most offensive categories, Utah was unable to finish drives off as the Utes’ suffered their first loss of the season.

Stanford has rejoined the AP Top-25 Poll as the 23rd-ranked Cardinal will host Oregon Saturday at 8 p.m. on FS1.

5. Utah Utes (LW: 4)

Utah and Stanford flip-flopped in our Power Rankings after the Cardinal picked up the road win head-to-head.

Utah played pretty well but they were just unable to get points as they had only one scoring drive in each quarter.

Quarterback Troy Williams got the start for the injured Tyler Huntley and Williams finished 20-of-39 passing, 238 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

The running game was effective for Utah rushing for 144 yards with running back Zack Moss leading the way with 79 yards and one touchdown.

Utah now travels to Los Angeles to face USC Saturday at 5 p.m. on ABC as both teams sit with just one loss in the Pac-12 South.

6. Oregon Ducks (LW: 6)

Oregon didn’t move in our Power Rankings as the Ducks fell at home to then-No. 11 Washington State 33-10.

The Ducks were without quarterback Justin Herbert for the first time as third-string QB Braxton Burmeister made his first career start.

The freshman quarterback finished 15-of-27, 145 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions as Oregon finished with 277 yards of total offense.

Running back Royce Freeman, who picked up an injury last week versus Cal, finished the game with 12 carries for 62 yards.

Oregon will push on without Herbert this week as they travel to Palo Alto to face No. 23 Stanford at 8 p.m. PST on FS1.

7. UCLA Bruins (LW: 8)

UCLA is coming off a bye week after their home win over Colorado two weeks ago.

Jim Mora’s squad has had an extra week to prepare as the Bruins travel to Tucson to face Arizona and the reigning Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week Khalil Tate.

It’s going to be key for UCLA to contain Tate or Brandon Dawkins in the pocket as Arizona likes to have its quarterbacks run for yards and create explosive plays.

Kickoff of UCLA-Arizona is at 6 p.m. PST Saturday on Pac-12 Network.

8. California Golden Bears (LW: 7)

It’s been a rough start to Pac-12 play for first-year head coach Justin Wilcox.

After losing 45-24 at Oregon last week, the Golden Bears struggled in Seattle versus then-No. 6 Washington losing 38-7.

The Cal offense could not move the ball versus Washington’s defense as they were held to just 93 yards of total offense and nine first downs.

Quarterback Ross Bowers finished 11-for-18 for 80 yards while the rushing attack finished with -40 yards.

Next up for Cal is No. 8 Washington State in Berkeley Friday at 7:30 p.m. PST on ESPN.

9. Arizona State Sun Devils (LW: 10)

Arizona State is coming off a bye week as they prepare to host No. 5 Washington.

The Sun Devils will look to get some of their players healthy and continue the momentum of the running game after the success they had at Stanford.

ASU will face its hardest opponent of the season up to this date as this continues a brutal stretch of facing the top teams in the Pac-12.

Kickoff of Washington-Arizona State is at 7:45 p.m. PST Saturday on ESPN.

10. Arizona Wildcats (LW: 11)

Khalil. Tate.

What a game did the sophomore quarterback have as he rushed for 327 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries setting an FBS record for most rushing yards in a game.

Tate also completed 12-of-13 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown as Arizona held off Colorado 45-42.

Arizona will look to keep the momentum going as the Wildcats host UCLA Saturday at 6 p.m. PST on Pac-12 Network.

11. Colorado Buffaloes (LW: 9)

Colorado is still having nightmares of Tate running all over the field as the Buffs couldn’t contain him in the 45-42 loss.

Overshadowed by Tate’s record-setting night was running back Phillip Lindsay as he had another monster night for the Buffaloes rushing for 281 yards and three touchdowns on 41 carries.

Quarterback Steven Montez also had a nice night throwing for 251 yards and three touchdowns, but it was the defense that couldn’t contain Arizona as the Wildcats finished with 567 total yards.

Next up for Colorado is a trip to Corvallis to face Oregon State Saturday at 1 p.m. PST on Pac-12 Network.

12. Oregon State Beavers (LW: 12)

Oregon State has had a newsworthy week after Gary Anderson and the school decided to mutually part ways this week.

(This is an excellent read from The Oregonian’s John Canzano on the mood of Anderson week-to-week this season).

Taking over as interim head coach is Cory Hall as he will look to right the ship after losing at USC 38-10.

Quarterback Darell Garretson got the start over Will Luton and finished the game with 197 yards and one interception as Oregon State finished with 319 total yards.

The Beavers defense struggled allowing 512 yards to USC.
