ASU Football: Friday practice report

ASU Football held their third fall practice Friday morning, dressing in pads while participating in tempo and 11-on-11 drills.
Weather: 89 degrees, 49% humidity

First Team Defense

After warming up and stretching, the team participated in tempo drills, completing two drives.
In the first, with Manny Wilkins quarterbacking the first-team offense, he threw an interception on a deep pass from about midfield.
Next, when Barnett lined up under center for the second-team offense, he connected with Terrell Chatman for a touchdown.
In the 11-on-11 drills, the quarterbacks didn’t show much, letting the running backs get some action.

The first team offense was on the field for five plays, handing it off to Ballage twice and Richard once. In the second-team’s four plays, freshman Eno Benjamin got one carry and Nick Ralston ran the ball two times after.
