ASU Men’s Basketball: Summer League update of Felix and Graham

Former ASU men’s basketball players Carrick Felix and Torian Graham have played limited minutes in the NBA Summer League as the tournament begins Wednesday.

The NBA Summer League has seen record attendance this week thanks to the appearances of Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball and Jayson Tatum just to name a few.

Two Sun Devils who have appeared in the Summer League is Carrick Felix and Torian Graham, who are both playing for the Dallas Mavericks.

The Mavericks went 3-0 and clinched a first-round bye in the Summer League Tournament holding the No. 3 seed.

Graham and Felix have not played a lot of minutes for Dallas as the starting backcourt of Yogi Ferrell and first-round pick Dennis Smith Jr. have had the bulk of the minutes.

In the first game, the Mavericks defeated the Chicago Bulls 91-75 with Felix playing 16 minutes scoring six points on 2-for-5 shooting with three rebounds and one steal.

Graham, in his Summer League debut, played only two minutes picking up one defensive rebound and scoring zero points on 0-for-1 shooting.

In the Mavericks’ second game versus the Phoenix Suns, Dallas won 88-77 in a game they led from start to finish.

Felix again played 16 minutes scoring five points on 1-for-6 shooting along with four rebounds and two steals.

Graham played three minutes tallying two rebounds but remained scoreless shooting 0-for-3 from the field.

In their final game Tuesday, the Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat 78-73 with Felix playing 12 minutes scoring four points on 2-for-5 shooting with four rebounds and one assist.

Graham played only three minutes shooting 0-for-1 from the field.

The Mavericks will play in the second round of the NBA Summer League Tournament Thursday at 5:30 p.m. PST against the winner of Wednesday’s first round game between the Sacramento Kings and the Milwaukee Bucks.
