ASU baseball were seeking their first Pac-12 road series win Sunday after splitting the first two games of the series.
Washington ace pitcher Noah Bremer threw a one-hit complete game shutout in a 4-0 win over the Sun Devils Friday.
On Sunday, this script was replicated as Arizona State was blanked 4-0 behind a strong outing from starting pitcher Joe DeMers.
DeMers kept the ASU lineup in check after the Sun Devils scored eight runs on 14 hits Saturday pitching eight shutout innings allowing nine hits, two walks and striking out eight Sun Devil batters.
Center fielder Gage Canning and first baseman Taylor Lane led Arizona State with two hits apiece with five other Sun Devils recording hits.

In total, Arizona State left 11 players on base batting 0-of-12 with runners in scoring position.
With Arizona State inability to get a big hit, Washington scored four early runs to give DeMers an early cushion.
Washington got three runs in the second inning and one run in the fourth inning off Arizona State starter Spencer Van Scoyoc and reliever Eder Erives.
The Huskies got on the board first on an RBI double from left fielder Nick Kahle scoring third baseman Willie MacIver, who reached on a fielding error by second baseman Carter Aldrete.
A hit by pitch and RBI sac fly added two more runs for Washington in the second inning as the Huskies got off to a quick 3-0 lead capitalizing off Arizona State mistakes.
Washington would tack on another run in the third inning on an RBI double from MacIver extending the lead to 4-0.
That’s all the Huskies needed with the way DeMers was able to get big outs in tough situations.
Van Scoyoc was on a short-leash pitching only 1.1 innings allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits, a walk and two hit by pitches.
Erives would pitch the longest of ASU’s three pitchers Sunday throwing 5.2 innings allowing one earned run on three hits and six strikeouts.
Reliever Tanner West, making his third appearance for the Sun Devils this season, threw a scoreless eighth inning.
With the defeat, Arizona State’s 54-season streak of at least 30 wins in a season was snapped as the Sun Devils fell to 22-26 and 8-16 in Pac-12 play.

Arizona State ends their four-game road trip Tuesday with a non-conference game versus Seattle University before heading home to begin a three-game series versus Arizona.
