After defeating No. 18 Arizona 14-13 Tuesday, ASU baseball opens up their four-game road trip with a three-game series versus Washington.

ASU baseball heads to Seattle to begin a four-game road trip beginning with a three-game series versus Washington.

The Sun Devils are coming off one of their best wins of the season defeating No. 18 Arizona 14-13 in Tucson Tuesday.

Arizona State combined for 17 hits with catcher Lyle Lin leading the team with four hits.

After blowing multiple leads versus the Wildcats, the Sun Devils scored four in the ninth inning and held off a late Arizona rally as the Wildcats left the tying run on base.

It was Arizona State’s second straight win versus a ranked opponent after defeating No. 13 Stanford 9-6 Sunday.

More from Devils in Detail

In the Stanford game, ASU blew a 5-1 lead as the Cardinal tied the game in the second inning but Arizona State reclaimed the lead in the third inning with three runs and held the lead for good.

Washington is the next opponent as the Sun Devils will look to improve their 4-11 road record.

The Huskies (24-21, 10-11) are currently on a season-long four-game losing streak having lost mid-week versus Seattle and being swept last weekend in Tucson at Arizona.

Washington lost the first and last game of the series on walk-off hits by the Wildcats, including allowing five runs in the ninth inning Sunday to suffer a 12-11 loss.

Arizona State has not released their probable pitchers for this weekend, but Washington has slated starters for Friday’s and Saturday’s game.

Starting for the Huskies Friday is their ace Noah Bremer.

The junior right-handed pitcher is 5-2 with a 2.55 ERA this season in 12 starts this season with his most recent start coming last Friday at Arizona.

Bremer pitched seven innings allowing three earned runs on five hits walking three and striking out six Wildcats.

It’s been an impressive season for Bremer pitching at least five innings in every start and has secured wins over then-No. 21 Baylor and No. 1 Oregon State.

Pitching on Saturday for Washington is freshman Jordan Jones.

Jones is 4-7 with a 4.10 ERA with his last start coming last Saturday at Arizona where he pitched 4.2 innings allowing two earned runs on six hits.
