ASU baseball completed their first Pac-12 sweep defeating Washington State Saturday on a walk-off single by Hunter Bishop in the 9th inning.
ASU baseball completed an undefeated week Saturday with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Washington State for their first sweep since March 10-12 versus Long Beach State.
After allowing 4 runs through the first 2 innings, ASU starter Eli Lingos settled down and threw 6 innings allowing 4 earned runs on 11 hits along with 6 strikeouts to give Arizona State the opportunity to come back.
After freshman pitcher Spencer Van Scoyoc relieved Lingos to walk the only two batters he faced, pitcher Reagan Todd threw 3 shutout innings allowing only 1 hit to pick up the win.
The performance of Todd allowed the Sun Devils to come back from 4-0 down by getting a run in the 6th and scoring 4 runs in the 9th inning.
The 9th-inning rally began with pinch hitter Ryan Lillard hitting a 3-run home run scoring first baseman Taylor Lane and second baseman Andrew Snow to tie the game 4-4.
Then left fielder Hunter Bishop hit a base hit to right center to score right fielder Gage Canning for the winning run.
Down 4-1. Down to their last out. Down to their last strike.

The Sun Devils were shut down for the majority of the afternoon versus Cougars starting pitcher Cody Anderson.
Anderson went 7 innings allowing just 1 earned run on 3 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
After a scoreless 8th inning from WSU reliever Scotty Sunitsch, closer Colby Nealy came in seeking his first save of the season.
Nealy struggled in the 9th inning allowing 4 earned runs on 3 hits and 3 walks, including allowing Lillard’s game-tying pinch-hit home run.
Pitcher Damon Jones came in to try to hold the winning run on base, but on the second pitch thrown, Bishop hit a single to complete the sweep.
