ASU softball (23-9) will be traveling to Eugene, Oregon to face the undefeated University of Oregon Ducks (30-0).

The ASU softball team is looking to win their second conference series, though it will be difficult against a team like the Ducks.

ASU is coming off of their first conference win over Oregon State, where the team went 2-1 in the series

What Arizona State needs to look out for from Oregon is their offense because they are scoring runs, which is what is allowing them to win the games. If ASU wants to win at least one of these games and ruin Oregon’s record, they need to come out ready to play and be able to hit the powerful pitches.

More from Devils in Detail

Senior shortstop Chelsea Gonzales has been one of the Sun Devils top players. She has a high average of .380. Gonzales is going to be a player the team relies on during this series to keep up the what she has been doing in order for the Sun Devils to not get shut out every game.

There are lots of key players that ASU needs to be on the lookout for on Oregon. These players are Alexis Mack, Danica Mercado, Sammie Puentes and Nikki Udria. All four of these players have averages over .400.

Last year, the two teams faced one another in Tempe and Oregon won all three games in the series. Udria played all three games for Oregon and went 3-11 for at bats. Gonzales went 3-11 as well for at bats, as well.
