ASU Basketball: Pac-12 Women’s Tournament Bracket Unveiled

After finishing Pac-12 play with a 9-9 record, ASU basketball women’s team is the No. 5 seed in the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament.
ASU basketball women’s team waited three hours after their loss versus UCLA Sunday awaiting to see who will they play in the first round of the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament.
After Arizona defeated USC in the final Pac-12 regular season game, there was a 4-way tie for ninth-place leading to tiebreakers to help determine who Arizona State will face.
The team the Sun Devils will be the 12th-seeded Utah Utes.

After going undefeated in non-conference play, Utah stumbled in Pac-12 play going 5-13.
Arizona State and Utah met only once back in January in Salt Lake City where the Sun Devils dominated the Utes winning 66-44.
In that game, ASU had every active player score with center Quinn Dornstauder leading the way with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Guards Reili Richardson, who played the most minutes (29), and Robbi Ryan each scored 10 points while combining for 13 rebounds and 7 assists.
Should ASU go on to win, they would face the fourth-seeded UCLA Bruins in the quarterfinals after both played each other Sunday in which the Bruins prevailed 55-52.
Head coach Charli Turner Thorne believe the team is playing like it did before the injury to forward Kelsey Moos.
The Sun Devils will look to make a statement in Seattle after suffering two single-digit losses to UCLA and one versus Oregon State, two potential opponents in Seattle.
ASU will look to carry a strong finish to the regular season into March and further solidify a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
