After ASU softball earned two impressive victories on Friday night, their double header scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to inclement weather.

The ASU softball team was slated to face Illinois State and Missouri on Saturday. The Sun Devils played Illinois State in their second game of Friday’s double-header and earned a convincing 7-1 victory.

In that game against Illinois State, freshman pitcher Giselle Juarez pitched her first career complete game. She struck out eleven and only allowed one hit in a spectacular game for the freshman. Behind Dale Ryndak and Breanna Macha, Juarez is looking like a solid third-day pitcher.

After their game against Illinois State, Arizona State was set to face No. 17 Missouri. Missouri would have been ASU’s toughest test all season and it would have been a nice gauge as to where ASU was truly at as a team under head coach Trisha Ford.

WIth Saturday getting rained out, the Sun Devils will add a game to their Sunday schedule, making Sunday another double-header for ASU. They will play their originally scheduled game against South Dakota at noon and then will take on Missouri at 2:30 p.m.

Sunday will be a huge day for the Sun Devils as they will look to become 11-0 on the season. With a record like that, it isn’t unrealistic to expect the Sun Devils to start and receive some national attention in the softball realm.

ASU softball will look to finish the Littlewood Classic out strong on Sunday. They will take on Illinois State at noon and Missouri at 2:30 p.m. You can stream the games live on Pac-12.com.
