ASU Basketball survived a collapse to beat the Washington Huskies 83-81. With the win, the Sun Devils improve to 6-8 in Pac-12 play.

Wins have not come easily for the ASU basketball team (13-14, 6-8) this season.  On Thursday night, the Sun Devils escaped Seattle with a 83-81 win over Washington (9-17, 2-12) as a last-second desperation heave fell short.

ASU led the Huskies 30-15 with 7:54 left in the first half but were outscored 26-9 down the stretch and trailed by two at halftime. Guard Markelle Fultz paced Washington with 19 points.

The Sun Devils were led by consistent shooting from guards Tra Holder and Torian Graham as the pair erupted for 50 total points and made seven threes. Graham had the most individual points for the game with 29.

In a game featuring two of the bottom defenses in the conference, Washington and Arizona State combined for 164 points. The Sun Devils had 79 of their 83 points come from the starters.

With the win, ASU took sole possession of seventh place in the Pac-12 standings while Washington remains winless in its past eight contests. Both teams have four games remaining.

Next, the Sun Devils will play their final road game of the season against Washington State on Feb. 18 before a three-game home stand to conclude the regular season.
