ASU Football: Takeaways from Camp T Part 2
While Camp Tontozona didn’t go as originally planned due to weather, the practice time did give fans a glimpse of some nice things to come this season.

Takeaway 2: Coach Todd Graham is using a more hands-off approach coming into this season
One thing from last season that most people had a problem with, was how hands-on Coach Graham seemed to be. An issue that made it so the coordinators had a difficult time fulfilling their duties as coordinators.
This season however, Coach Graham seems to be letting the coordinators do what they think is best and he seems to be taking more of a traditional head coaching role. That role being one where he is more of a supervisor and has faith in his staff.
While there are successful coaches that have micro managed everything (Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh) being able to give coordinators the freedom to be in charge of their own units is a critical part to team chemistry and harmony.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Coach Graham will still be a very involved head coach. He will still check in with each position group and each coordinator to make sure that everyone is on the same page.
The end result of Coach Graham backing off slightly and allowing his coordinators more room to do as they please is a more complete football team.
The season is drawing closer, and ASU football has a new vibe to it, a vibe full of hope and promise.
A vibe that is a welcome new energy if you are an ASU football fan.
