ASU Football: Freshman Class Needs to Step Up
The incoming high school Class of 2016 could prove to be one of the most impactful classes ASU football has ever had under Todd Graham.
This upcoming season can go one of two ways for the Sun Devils.
The first way this season could go would be a good scenario for ASU. They could have more success than they are predicted to have and prove that last season was a fluke.
In the other scenario, ASU totally flops and we might see some personnel changes that are made involuntarily.
In order for ASU to have the good scenario happen, the incoming recruiting class will have to step up to the plate and deliver.
With high-ranked players like N’Keal Harry joining the team the expectations for the recruiting class of 2016 is sky-high.

At the Pac-12 media day this past summer, Coach Graham was asked about what he thinks about the recruits they brought in.
“I’m excited about that bunch and really excited about just about everybody in the program we’ve recruited, so adding a great deal of great young men of character, and I like the speed that we’re bringing in.”
The recruiting class that ASU has coming in ranks 26th in the nation according to 247sports.
While that isn’t as high as rankings in the past, there seems to be a lot of hype surrounding this class.
One possible reason is that this class signals ASU’s push at trying to sign in-state players opposed to signing out-of-state players.
This season ASU is bringing in three of the top ten recruits from the state of Arizona, last season the Sun Devils didn’t even sign one recruit in the top-50 from Arizona.
Regardless of where the recruit is from, they are going to have to play their heart out for the Sun Devils this season in order to make their first season in college on to remember.
