ASU volleyball opening with 14 consecutive road matches

“New Arizona State volleyball coach Stevie Mussie will not make her home debut until Sept. 30. ASU will play 14 consecutive road matches, including its first two in the Pac-12, before finally opening at Wells Fargo Arena against Oregon on Sept. 30.”

A very weird way for a schedule to be set up. After 14 straight road matches, ASU will have their home-opening match a month after the season has started. On the bright side, they do end their season on a four match home stand.

ASU football recruiting heats up with four commits in four days

courtesy of: Arizona Sports 98.7FM

“Four Arizona State recruits have committed to the school in the last week and three hail from the Valley. Joining fellow Arizona-resident and 4-star Basha quarterback commit Ryan Kelley is tight end Jared Poplawski, outside linebacker and tight end Kyle Soelle, and offensive lineman Corey Stephens.”

Coach Graham has got to be feeling pretty good about the future of ASU football. He has had seven commitments from the class of 2017 and a lot of top-100 recruits from the class of 2017 have ASU on their list of possible schools. This season everyone in college football will witness what one outstanding recruiting class can do to your program when Michigan is a dominant team this year. The same scenario could happen in the 2018 season for the Sun Devils if the class of 2017 keeps committing to ASU as frequently as they have been so far.

How will Arizona State replace Mike Bercovici, Devin Lucien, D.J. Foster?

courtesy of: ESPN

“Arizona State must replace the foundation of its aerial attack in 2016. Quarterback Mike Bercovici and his 3,860 passing yards are gone, as are the Sun Devils’ two leading receivers from last season. Devin Lucien and D.J. Foster combined to catch 125 of Bercovici’s passes for 1,658 yards and 11 touchdowns.Gary Chambers tacked on 26 receptions for 486 yards, posting a gaudy 18.7 yard-per-catch average and a legitimate threat to stretch defenses. He’s done, too.”

ESPN always seems to come up with interesting articles, and this one is no exception. Most ASU fans have thought about how the Sun Devils plan to replace the three stars of the 2015 season, but do you really know how they are going to be replaced? This article gives fans food for thought and reminds fans that not all hope is lost, there always seems to be someone ready to step up.
