ASU’s Tim White hopes to jump again at Olympic Trials

courtesy of: azcentral

“Only eight U.S. men’s long jumpers have wind legal marks this year better than Arizona State’s Tim White. Two of those are 2012 Olympic medalists Christian Taylor and Will Claye, who went to high school at Phoenix Mountain Pointe. Another is former ASU All-America Chris Benard, all contenders for the Rio Olympics at the upcoming U.S. Olympic Trials.”

One thing is clear, Tim White is really good at long jumping. He is very athletic, something that is clear to see on the football field. He also has great height, which is great for not only football but for track and field as well. He is a prototypical NFL wide receiver and he has proven that he is a special talent on the track. Whichever career path he chooses, he should find success.

ASU Tribal Nations Tour, ASU Athletics make a difference for Native American youth

“Athletes and American Indian students from Arizona State University will travel to the Havasupai community June 15-18 as part of the annual ASU Tribal Nations Tour. This year’s tour will include wellness activities and cultural exchanges between the ASU Athletics department, Office of American Indian Initiatives at ASU and the Havasupai Tribe.”

Great to see ASU Athletics helping out the community. Events and tours like this are what makes current and former ASU students proud to wear the maroon and gold.

ASU Football: Brady White is the best QB recruit the Sun Devils have ever landed, and that leaves quite the dilemma

courtesy of: House of Sparky

“Too much talent at one spot can be a good thing, but this dilemma in particular is a uniquely familiar one in Tempe.”

House of Sparky is a really great place to find Sun Devil athletics opinion pieces, and this is just one example. A great piece that gives ASU football fans a lot to think about. Could ASU have their best quarterback since Jake Plummer? You will just have to read and find out.
