ASU hires softball, men’s tennis coaches

“Arizona State filled its remaining head coaching vacancies Wednesday, hiring Trisha Ford to take over softball and former national Coach of the Year Adam Steinberg to lead the reinstatement of men’s tennis.”

Arizona State officially knows who all their head-coaches are going to be thanks to these two great signings. Ford comes with success in-and-out of the Pac-12. Look for an article on Devils in Detail later today about why coach Ford is a great fit. Coach Steinberg is the perfect coach to help get the men’s tennis program off and running. He already has established himself as one of the best tennis coaches of the 2000’s and he was the national Coach of the Year in 2006 with Pepperdine University. Things are looking up for ASU Athletics.

2018 Bishop Gorman QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson collects ASU offer

courtesy of: Sun Devil Source

“He’s behind five-star Tate Martell at quarterback on the depth chart at loaded Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High, but that hasn’t stopped 2018 recruit Dorian Thompson-Robinson from collecting high profile scholarship offers. Arizona State became offer No. 10 for Thompson-Robinson this week, joining a list that includes Colorado, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Utah and a handful of others.”

Sun Devil Source has always been a go-to when it comes to ASU Football prospects, and again they deliver. Thompson-Robinson won’t graduate until 2018 which gives ASU enough time to build a better case for themselves in the coming seasons. Competing against other schools known for their great recruiting, namely Michigan, ASU will need to have on field success in 2016 and 2017 in order to stand out from the crowd.

“Arizona State alum Lloyd Carrington and All-Pro Josh Norman as lock-down corners for the 2016 Washington Redskins sure does have a nice ring to it.”

Great to see former ASU athletes making names for themselves in the world. Lloyd Carrington is the latest alum making a name for himself, thanks to a spectacular interception at the Washington Redskins’ minicamp. The article by Arizona Sports 98.7 FM has the video of the interception. After watching it, you can’t do anything but smile.
