ASU Football: Texas CB Chad Adams Signs With ASU

Conerback Chad Adams has signed to play football at Arizona State. The 5-10, 160 pound, 3 star recruit from Allen, Texas is a burner that runs a 4.4 in the 40 yard dash. Adams appears to be a prototype cornerback with great speed, good footwork and outstanding ability to change direction, which is critical for covering receivers.
Adams is another Texas signee, most likely due to the connections of coach Graham. Todd Graham was the head coach at Allen High School in the late 90’s. He obviously still has good contacts there and Texas in general.
Again, Adams fills an immediate need for Arizona State. With the departure of Nelson, Darby and Irabor, he will compete immediately for a starting position. Adams will have to make the adjustment to the college level, as all freshmen do, but he’ll be right in the mix for playing time.
