As National Signing Day kicks off, head coach Todd Graham and his staff wait anxiously by their fax machine as letters of intent will begin to pour in as future Sun Devils officially pledge their skills to the program starting today. This year’s crop of talent is expected to be the highest rated in the internet era with several outlets projecting the 2014 class to be the best in the PAC-12.

The first dominoes dropped early Wednesday morning as Allen (TX) High School teammates Chad Adams and Christian Sam were the first to sign and submit their letters of intent. Local prospects Ismael Murphy-Richardson and Tyler Whiley were quick to follow suit, as was St Louis defensive end Renell Wren.

Linebacker DJ Calhoun and defensive end Edmond Boateng qualified as mid-year transfers and are currently enrolled at ASU.

Until their letter comes through, a prospect’s commitment is merely speculation. There are still a few prospects considering the Sun Devils including Kammy Delp, Dalvon Stuckey and Deondre Clark with most decisions expected to come later today.

Devils in Detail will continue to update as letters of intent come in and decisions are announced
