JUCO trasfer defensive tackle Dalvon Stuckey has signed to play with ASU.
Stuckey is rated a 4-star player by some recruiting services, a 3-star by others. Regardless, Stuckey is a huge signing for ASU. Dalvon Stuckey is ready to play right now. His addition help fills an immediate need on the defensive line with the departures of Will Sutton, Davon Coleman and Gannon Conway.
Stuckey is described as having “insane” quickness for a man his size. Stuckey is 6’3″, 300 pounds.
It was a long road for Stuckey, who committed to Auburn and Florida State, took the JUCO route, committed to Miami, then later decommitted. Somehow, the ASU staff made an impression on this young man and convinced him to visit. Reports say that Stuckey was blown away by his visit and is excited to be a Sun Devil.
Defensive tackle is a tough position to recruit. Finding the body type to take on double teams in the trenches is rare. For being a “soft” commit leading up to today, Stuckey’s signing is a big, but pleasant surprise.
