The No. 3 Arizona State softball team (43-9, 14-7 Pac-12) will close out their regular season schedule against the University of Oregon in a highly anticipated Pac-12 Conference series that begins on Thursday at Farrington Stadium.

Fourth-ranked Oregon (44-7, 17-3) has led the Pac-12 standings all season. Last weekend, the Ducks captured their first-ever Pac-12 regular season title with a five-inning, 8-0 “Civil War” victory over Oregon State. They swept the three-game series with the Beavers for the second time in three years.

“Our ladies really seized the moment,” Oregon head coach Mike White said. “They stepped up their game, and gave us another special memory that we will never forget.”

The Sun Devils, meanwhile, have earned wins over No. 12 UCLA, No. 23 Oregon State, No. 14 Stanford, No. 14 Washington and No. 10 California. They are anticipating their ninth-consecutive postseason berth, and the 25th in program history.

ASU head coach Clint Myers has guided his squad to another successful campaign in 2013. During his stint as Sun Devil skipper, the team has won two National Championships, appeared in six Women’s College World Series, and posted a string of 40-plus win seasons.

Thursday’s game against Oregon is at 7 p.m. PT. Both Friday and Saturday are at 5 p.m. PT.
